The Season has begun...

Hi everyone!
I was able participate in this wonderful Taste and Business Expo at the South Lyon High School yesterday and I have to say, this was alot of fun. What a great way to provide great exposure to local merchants. Alot of wonderful food was available from area restaurants and folks like me could share our services and products. It was alot of fun to meet new and kind folks in the area. I made several new friends yesterday of which I think was an opportunity I am grateful to have made.

Now it's time to make people happy by providing a photography service that is uncommonly comfortable and satisfying. Business cards that we passed out yesterday include a free 8x10 with a paid session. We also raffled off a set of customized notecards...congratuations to the lucky ones and thanks to all for allowing BWI to be part of a wonderful day. We can't wait till the next one!!

Till next time...

Babies and Big Happy Bellies!

This sure seems to be the time for baby and pregnancy photos and isn't that so much fun? We are blessed to cross paths with so many caring individuals that have so much to share. The excitement and anticipation of the beauty of life along with the new wonders of life. How fun to be part of this. To help capture their moment to reflect on with warm loving smiles.

The bonus here is to have families return for updated photos and to see the changes and growth in everyone.

It's time to prepare for another family/baby/family pet session all in one.

Hope your days continue to be filled with the blessings of friendship along the way. Time to go make some happy moments! Talk with you soon.

So Much to Look Forward to...

Happy New Year to everyone! What a great time to reevaluate our goals and to set up our plans for the new year.

As with any photography business, the 1Q tends to be a tad slow, but that is ok...alot of us are still recooperating from the holidays and this will give me an opportunity to reorganize what new savings plans I can bring forth to those who will require my services in the upcoming year.

I am excited to share some new ideas with you in photography!!

Talk to you soon!

It's MY Life Now

This has been an exceptional year for me and my family....whoa...so much to share. Since my last post (too long ago!!) I have retired and have been reorganizing my time for the last month to catapult myself into my new second career of photography. So much fun, so much work, but it is an amazing journey that I would recommend everyone take in following their dreams and ambitions to fill their hearts.

Being retired requires having lots of parties and gatherings to celebrate such a milestone. I could never have imagined the love and thoughfulness that comes from all we touch. Not to mention the good news of knowing I will be graced as a proud grandmother (my family calls me "Bubbie") AGAIN next June. Couldn't be happier for my son and his wife....

Since my last post, I have travelled to Florida and San Antonio on the skirts of the last hurricane, retired, hosted a baby shower, hosted my share of fantastic family Christmas gatherings, enjoyed my grandchild as much as possible along with providing various clients with family and holiday photo sessions that make them smile. After all, isn't that what it's all about? Making folks happy makes me happy. You will notice in following my blogs this is a continuous theme with me, to help provide the smiles along the way in life....how fun.

I am looking forward to 2009 with much energy as to share my photography where I can which also includes good times in meeting new clients, providing a positive attitude to show love and strength in all the daily paths we take.

Perhaps we will meet each other in the new year and capture some moments in photography for you to reflect on with lasting warmth to the heart ...wouldn't that great??

My New Year's Resolution is to post regularly to keep you up to date with all the great happenings with my now active photography career and great opportunities to make the most of our money during these challenging financial times. After all, I'm retired now...I should have more time, right??? :-)

Seniors, Vacations and Hurricanes!!

My photography business is really taking off! Senior photos and family portraits seem to be the need right now and isn't it just great to make some folks happy?? After all, this is what it's all about...family and creating happy clients. I'm having a blast meeting all kinds of great people and getting the giggles as well!

My husband and I are excited to take off for a week to enjoy vacation in Fla. We are also planning a side trip to San Antonio...but who knows what IKE will do to update our plans! I am also excited to see the Alamo and the mexican market...I'm always looking at life thru a camera lens with anticipation of the next photo opportunity. My wonderful husband now fully understands what "sherpa" means in regards to carrying most of my equipment for me--just for that one shot!

I return from FLA on Sept. 22nd so I will have more to post and new/great photos to share.

The theme for the day is FUN!
